Huế Citadel — Villas & Hotel
Empire–Indochina in spirit, governed by harmony and symmetry — its plan structured as three concentric squares.

This reference draws its influence from both the classical European style of around 1800 and the exuberance and colours of Vietnamese baroque taste, with roots in some of the most ancient citadel constructions — similar to Lầu tứ Phương vô sự, the Pavilion of Four-Sided Ingenuity.
Two levels compose the house, in stark contrast to one another, making a unique balance.

The ground level is all mineral, ordained in cool blue and blue-grey tints, with its complex, mathematically conceived local marble mosaic and M. Niên trompe-l’œil blue marble walls.
The upper level, by opposition, is an authentic ancient Huế wooden structure, restored into an ideal honeymoon hideaway, populated by wooden sculpted birds following the land’s cultural tradition.
